The OX App Suite by Open-Xchange is web-based platform offering a suite of apps like an email client, calendar, contacts magement, cloud storage with synchronization and productivity apps for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations. End-to-end encryption is integrated seamlessly in form of the "OX Guard" feature. External email accounts can be added easily as well as external cloud storage accounts. OX App Suite offers integration with devices through open standards like CalDAV along native synchronization clients in common App Stores. The targeted user audience are freelancers and small to medium sized businesses. Through large scale service providers like hosting companies it effectively also caters individuals. In combination with other technologies it is rolled out in the German public sector, too. It scales from a few to million users and supports multiple tenants and domains. It is open-source and can be self-hosted on your own machines, however Open-Xchange has different offerings ranging from supported on-premise deployments to Saas (called "OX Cloud").
