Kritik’s peer-assessment technology is an AI-powered, science-based platform that facilitates accurate and authentic student-to-student evaluations and feedback. Through Kritik’s platform, students complete effective rubric-based assignments created and scheduled by instructors who can assign different topics to individuals or specific groups and conduct individual, intergroup or intragroup written peer-assessments. Unlike traditional peer-assessments, students using Kritik have the opportunity to provide feedback on the evaluations they receive. The feedback stage allows the evaluators to know how critical and motivational their comments are. It also enforces students to re-engage in the content, improving their overall knowledge retention. Kritik’s entire peer-assessment process can be conducted anonymously thus ensuring unbiased responses from students and enabling students to reach higher-order thinking skills by leveraging the stages of Bloom’s Taxonomy (a hierarchical structure for cognitive learning and capitalizing on the process of learning by teaching) while developing critical lifelong learning skills. By using Kritik, instructors and teaching assistants also save time on grading and other administrative tasks which empowers them to focus more on coaching their students.
