Most software projects have multiple interested parties. Often working remotely, product owners, developers, and QA testers need to be able to agree on what they're building, and efficiently communicate when things aren't working as expected. In our experience, this can lead to confusion and conflict. Stakeholders struggle to articulate exactly what they're expecting, developers build a product to the best of their understanding, and testers test the product based on their own individual understanding. Codex seeks to solve these problems by providing a single source of truth for everyone involved in a project. It provides a version-controlled, structured framework for describing the function of the product in detail, and recorded, measurable tests, so that you can see in a glance how well a version performs, and developers can replay tests to understand exactly what the tester has seen.
